Although most of Brazil’s production is concentrated in the southeast, Goiás is an important part in the economic strengthening of cachaça, being among the ten states with the most registered establishments producing cachaça. According to the last Cachaça Yearbook, published this year by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa), there are more than 114 brands from 28 registered producers.

Goiás stands out in gold production in Brazil, behind in reserves and production only in the states of Minas Gerais and Pará. The state’s reserves of around 10,000,000 tons of ore between measured, indicated and inferred reserves for primary gold reserves in gold ore, and 500Mt for gold associated with other ores, such as copper. The primary gold-type reserves in gold ores are found in the municipalities of Crixás and Pilar de Goiás. In Goiás, limestone occurs in many municipalities and can be used as agricultural limestone or for civil industry. The largest producers in the state are the municipalities of Indiara, Palmeira de Goiás, Jandaia, Cidade de Goiás, Vila Propício, Corumbá de Goiás, Cezarina. Reserves in the state are estimated at between 2 billion to 3 billion tons between measured, indicated and inferred reserves. Goiás holds a large part of the national niobium reserves, located in the municipalities of Catalão and Ouvidor, being the third largest state in percentage of the ore behind only Minas Gerais and Amazonas. The reserves estimated by the ANM are of the order of 110Mt of ore, among measured, indicated and inferred reserves with an estimated average content of 0.49% Nb2O5 in rocks containing pyrochlor as ore.
In Goiás, copper mineralizations were found and studied in the cities of Alto Horizonte, Niquelândia, Bom Jardim de Goiás, Palmeirópolis, Americano do Brasil and Mara Rosa. The known reserves for the state are in the order of approximately 280Mt of ore, with average contents of 0.42% of Cu, corresponding to 957,000 t of ore contained. In Alto Horizonte, the operation produces a 24% copper concentrate that is sold and transported to the port of Vitória – ES.

Brazil has 3,371,579 kTon of metallurgical and refractory aluminum reserves, with an average content of 47.63%. In the state of Goiás, there are 80,064,399.36 t of reserves, with a content of 55.5%, the highest content in Brazil.
The main exploration cities in the state are in Barro Alto and Santa Rita do Novo Destino. In 2016, according to DNPM-GO, there were 13 research permits for the ore, located in the cities of Niquelândia, Barro Alto and Santa Rita do Novo Destino.

The state of Goiás has 233Mt of phosphate ore, with contents of 10.30% P2O5. Among the 9 Brazilian municipalities that hold more than 90% of the national exploration assets, two are located in Goiás, in the municipalities of Catalão and Ouvidor, which generate annual production of 2,214,942 t for the state.
According to DNPM-GO, in 2016 there were 14 research reports for phosphate, concentrated in the municipalities of Catalão, Ouvidor, Aruanã, Campos Belos and Bom Jardim de Goiás.

Bottled mineral water is obtained through natural sources or groundwater exploration. The state of Goiás produces 294,274,605 ​​L per year with a flow of 1,118,581.00 l / h, and is mainly exploited in the cities of Goiás, Hidrolândia, Anapólis, Bela Vista de Goiás, Bom Jesus de Goiás, Luziânia Ltda and Goiânia.

In 2017, there were 46 research reports approved for the exploration of Sand.
Among the 14% world reserves located in the country, 70% are located in the state of Goiás. The total reserve in the state of Goiás is 12.53 Mton with an average content of 20.98%. The largest vermiculite reserves in the state of Goiás are located in the municipalities of Ouvidor, Catalão, Sacrerlândia and São Luiz dos Montes Belos.

I. 25% credit granted to companies that operate cumulatively in the road or air transport logistics segment,

In the case of the expansion project (company in operation), the benefit of the credit granted by ICMS will

Logistics, corresponding to interstate operations, with the average being calculated through payments
the tax in the last 12 (twelve) months prior to the project’s filing date;

If the Logistics Operator assumes the billing of goods by his client, according to the legal protection
specific goods, for goods, whether own or on behalf of third parties, intended for sale or
industrialization applies:

I. Reduction of the ICMS calculation base from 17% to 10% for internal exits;

II. ICMS credit granted equivalent to the percentage of up to 3% in interstate exits, 12% to 9%.

Social contribution to be paid of 5% on the discount of interstate operations, being:

I. 2% for the Bolsa Universitária Program;


Additional contribution of 6% on the interstate ICMS discount, to the PROTEGE fund, for 30 months, or
4% for cash payment, in case the company requests the extension of the fruition period until 2022.

Contribution to the PROTEGE Fund of 15% (fifteen percent) applied on the amount of the incentive for the periods
from April 2019 to March 2020, from the first to the sixth month of enjoyment of the incentive and 14% (fourteen
percent) from the seventh month, decreasing 1% (one percentage point) each month, up to the minimum limit of 9%.

Wholesale Regime


The incidence of ICMS occurs at different levels
according to the operation or provision, as follows:

* Internal exits from the states of the South and Southeast regions, except the State of
Espírito Santo, base rate of 18%;

* Internal exits from the states of the Midwest, North and Northeast regions,
including the State of Espírito Santo, base rate of 17%;

* Interstate exits from the states of the South and Southeast regions, except
Espírito Santo, for the states of the North, Northeast and
Midwest, including the State of Espírito Santo: rate of 7%;

* Interstate exits from the states of the South and Southeast regions, except
Espírito Santo State, for the other States of the South and
Southeast, except the State of Espírito Santo: rate of 12%;

* Interstate exits from the states of the North, Northeast and Center regions
Oeste, and also the State of Espírito Santo, to all destinations,
rates of 12%.


In purchases made in Goiás, there are
full appropriation of ICMS credits.

In purchases made from suppliers of other
